Make good use of a pandemic world lock down.

This is my first post.

I'm currently in lock down mode. Ireland is not waiting for the Coronavirus pandemic to spread too broadly. Offices are closed (or closing), employees are asked to work from home and schools are closed. During my morning run I observed a city that is still very much active, nothing resembling the safe isolation of my home country (Italy).

However, this is a good compromise between waiting for the herd immunity to kick in and the full lock down mode applied in Italy. On my end, I'm preparing for the worst, hoping that we will not reach the level of contagion that is now constantly increasing in continental Europe.

Travels are cancelled, gyms closed...I think that I should be using the newly found free time to start on some personal projects that have been on my to do list for a long time. Creating a website is one of them!

Here it is. Within one weekend and thanks to some good tutorials, I was able to push my first website live, using GitPages and Jekyll themes. This is my first post, mostly as I test out the structure and I understand how to play around with layouts and fonts. I will use this experience to write a tutorial myself later on.

It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that things are difficult.. L.A. Seneca
